Here you'll find some of the most frequently asked questions when it comes to our MetaFarms API.
- Does this report get sent to users in an email as well? See below.
Answer: This report is not sent via email. It is only available through in-app notifications.
- If there is a conflict with the push, can users try to manually push the data from EveryPig to MetaFarms using the arrow icon? See below.
Answer: This button currently allows users to refresh the page but does not enable manual data transfer between systems.
- If a company manages pigs for multiple other companies, how will the integration work?
Answer: This should work the same with multiple companies in management as it does with one. You as the customer won't need to do anything additional to make this work correctly. All you will need to do is enter your MetaFarm's login credentials into EveryPig (Admin > Preferences > Integrations). Once this is done, as long as the groups in EveryPig and MetaFarm are aligned, the data exchange will proceed smoothly. If any issues arise, we will take care of them from our end.
- If the data does not get auto pushed into MetaFarms, and we can’t re-push the data using the refresh icon; our only option is to manually enter into MetaFarms, correct?
Answer: In most cases where a conflict arises, we will catch it on our end and start another push to fix any issues before you notice. Typically if customers report a problem with the data push, it’s because the group names don’t match in EveryPig & MetaFarms. In these cases, it’s an easy fix.
- What happens to the error within EveryPig- is it disregarded on the next auto push? Or does it get pushed into MetaFarms again, making a duplication movement?
Answer: It isn’t disregarded until the next push. EveryPig will do multiple attempts to push data when there is a conflict. When the push goes through, there should not be any duplicated data within the platforms. If the error occurs on MetaFarms side, it would appear in their tracking system and be handled accordingly without any additional steps from you.
- What happens if a user/tenant isn’t receiving data through the API but there aren’t any conflicts reported during the exchange?
Answer: In order to get a return on information, the tenant must have access and the site added to their API list with MetaFarms. The site would need to be added to the user’s access and they should get a return after doing so. Each time a new site is added, the site access list for the tenant/user will need to be upIn dated to include the new site! Each tenant should have a superuser login with MetaFarms and have access to assign sites. If they don't, the user can reach out to MetaFarms and they can assign sites in support or can make someone a superuser.
