Step 2. Manager Training (30-45 mins)

Set up a meeting with Managers

Now that your Quick Start Guides have Arrived, it’s time to schedule a meeting with your managers. We recommend sending your managers an invite for the session using email or traditional mail. Our team has created a template letter you can use for this.

Manager Meeting Agenda

The Purpose of the manager meeting is to ensure all field managers understand what EveryPig is, how it works, and how to explain its use to caregivers. The manager will be the front line in your operation, so it is essential that they fully understand the system before the company-wide rollout. You can download the Manager/Caregiver training PowerPoint for your use.

Suggested Meeting Structure

  1. Explain the EveryPig system. Make sure to explain why moving to digital record-keeping is better for your operation.

  2. Distribute Quick Start Guides. Make sure to walk the managers through the guides and answer any questions they may have

  3. Plan rollout with the team. Let your managers help you plan the implementation. Consider their concerns, suggestions, and together create an action plan.

  4. Close with Q&A. Close the meeting with a question and answer session. This time provides managers with a chance to voice opinions and have any outstanding questions answered.

Step 3. Caregiver Training (10-15 mins)

Send Caregivers A Message Regarding EveryPig

We recommend sending all caregivers participating in EveryPig a message regarding your system’s use of the service via email or traditional mail. The news will let them know about your intentions and will alert them to the training session they will soon have with their manager. Our team has created a template letter you can use for this.

Managers Meet with Caregivers in the Field

On an agreed-upon date, managers will begin to meet with caregivers in-field regarding getting started with EveryPig as part of the manager’s usual rounds. The manager will take this opportunity to distribute the Quick Start Guides, train the caregiver, and answer any questions they may have.

Suggested Meeting Structure

  1. Explain the EveryPig system. Make sure to explain why moving to digital record-keeping is better for the production company, veterinarians, managers, and the caregiver.

  2. Distribute a Quick Start Guide. Make sure to walk the caregiver through the guides and answer any questions they may have

  3. Demonstrate the use of EveryPig. The manager will then show the caregiver how to use EveryPig using a smartphone.

  4. Close with Q&A. Before leaving, answer any questions the caregiver may have. It is essential that they understand they will be supported in this transition, so do your best to make them feel that support.

Step 4. System Rollout

Now that your team has been trained, the final step in the process is importing farm, user, and group data into EveryPig. If at any time you have questions about importing data, our team is here to help you with this process. We’ve created farm and user import templates to help you quickly gather the necessary data.
